Practice drawing from draped models with supplementary studies in human anatomy to enhance understanding of form and structure
Prerequisites
ART 111 with a grade of “C” or higher.
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the human figure as a natural form through observational drawing and anatomical study.
2. Explain the structure and function of the skeletal and muscular systems as they relate to accurate figure drawing.
3. Demonstrate control and proficiency with a range of drawing media and techniques used in figure studies.
4. Apply principles of proportion, gesture, and form to create expressive and anatomically informed figure drawings.
5. Analyze anatomical landmarks and body mechanics to improve accuracy, clarity, and visual communication in figure drawing.
