This American Sign Language course builds upon ASL 101 and continues to emphasize practical application within the Deaf community. The curriculum focuses on vocabulary, structure, grammar, dialogues, and narratives.


Concurrent enrollment in ASL 102L is required.
 

Prerequisites

ASL 101 with a grade of “C” or higher, or instructor approval.

Student Learning Outcomes

1.    Demonstrate proficiency in beginning sign language conversations.
2.    Develop sign language comprehension skills.
3.    Describe aspects of Deaf culture and community, and interact appropriately within this cultural context.
