This course offers supplemental instructional support to students enrolled in ENG 101 and other writing-intensive courses. It develops proficiency in narrative, analytical, argumentative, and source-based writing, and provides targeted instruction in grammar, punctuation, and style to enhance written communication.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Analyze the relationship between Standard Written English and social, cultural, and institutional power structures.
  2. Construct grammatically complete sentences employing a range of syntactic structures, and apply punctuation in accordance with the conventions of Standard Written English.
  3. Demonstrate measurable improvement in at least nine additional areas of Standard Written English, as determined by diagnostic assessment and individual learning goals.
