Building upon ART 247, the course advances the study of oil painting materials and techniques, with emphasis on composition, structure, and expressive methods.
Prerequisites
ART 247 with a grade of “C” or higher or instructor approval.
Student Learning Outcomes
1. Identify various tube colors and essential supplies and equipment.
2. Mix primary and secondary colors to achieve specific color outcomes.
3. Compose an original piece and execute it to completion using previously learned fundamentals.
4. Identify a common compositional fault that is above and beyond those in ART 247.
