This course offers a foundational introduction to algebraic concepts. Students will explore topics such as simplifying and evaluating algebraic expressions, solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing on the coordinate plane, working with exponents and polynomials, factoring techniques, and solving systems of equations.

Prerequisites

Math placement as established by District policy.

Student Learning Outcomes

1.    Solve linear equations and inequalities.
2.    Graph points, lines, and inequalities using the rectangular coordinate system.
3.    Simplify and manipulate polynomial expressions.
4.    Factor polynomial expressions effectively.
5.    Use at least two methods to solve systems of linear equations.
