This course explores significant social problems in contemporary America, including delinquency, crime, violence, substance abuse, education, minority relations, aging, population dynamics, and ecological challenges. These issues are analyzed within both historical and global frameworks.

2. Analyze how economic, political, and power disparities affect racial, ethnic, and gender groups within individual societies and in a global context.
