This course offers supplemental instructional support to students enrolled in ENG 101 and other writing-intensive courses. It develops proficiency in narrative, analytical, argumentative, and source-based writing, and provides targeted instruction in grammar, punctuation, and style to enhance written communication.

- Analyze the relationship between Standard Written English and social, cultural, and institutional power structures.
- Construct grammatically complete sentences employing a range of syntactic structures, and apply punctuation in accordance with the conventions of Standard Written English.
- Demonstrate measurable improvement in at least nine additional areas of Standard Written English, as determined by diagnostic assessment and individual learning goals.
