This course examines the fundamental principles of arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, flame cutting, and brazing, with particular emphasis on techniques used in metal fabrication. An additional fee is required.

1. Demonstrate understanding of safety standards relevant to the welding industry.
2. Recognize and differentiate common welding joint designs.
3. Complete fabrication of a sheet metal project.
4. Utilize measuring and layout tools to accurately mark metal for cutting.
5. Perform precise cuts on various metals using appropriate machines and cutting methods.
6. Create high-quality welds using oxyacetylene welding equipment.
7. Select appropriate electrodes for shielded metal arc welding.
8. Produce high-quality welds using the shielded metal arc welding process.
