This course focuses on the mind‑body wellness practices rooted in Qigong and gentle movement. Students learn about energy flow in the body and develop skills in breathing techniques, posture, balance, stretching, strengthening, and moving meditation. The course also includes mindfulness, relaxation methods, stress‑reduction strategies, energy tapping, meridian tracing, self‑massage, parasympathetic exercises, and Brain Gym activities. Emphasis is placed on accessible practices that support relaxation, coordination, and overall well‑being.

Prerequisites

HPE101Q with a grade of "C" or higher.

Student Learning Outcomes

1.    Explain the concept and harmony of the energy (Qigong system) in the universe and in our body.
2.    Practice several breathing techniques.
3.    Practice good posture and alignment.
4.    Practice balance and coordination.
5.    Practice various stretching and strengthening techniques.  
6.    Practice moving meditation and mindfulness.
7.    Practice relaxation techniques.
8.    Learn ways of dealing with stress and anxiety.
9.    Practice energy tapping and tracing the meridians.
10.    Practice self-massage of hands and feet.  
11.    Learn parasympathetic exercises.
12.    Learn Brain Gym exercises for crossing the midline of the brain.
