The course builds on foundational flight concepts and prepares students for advanced instrument operations. The course covers Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) procedures, aircraft systems and performance characteristics, and the development of both local and cross‑country IFR flight plans. Emphasis is placed on applying FAA regulations and operational standards necessary for safe and effective instrument flight.

Prerequisites

TEC 120 with a grade of "C" or higher.
