This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of pickleball. Participants will acquire knowledge of basic rules, techniques, strategies, and safety practices, and will develop skills through structured drills and gameplay. The curriculum emphasizes sportsmanship, physical fitness, and engagement in recreational activity.

Student Learning Outcomes

1.    Demonstrate proper grip, stance, and stroke techniques (forehand, backhand, serve, volley). 
2.    Perform pickleball as dictated by the rules and traditional standards.
3.    Develop strategies for singles and doubles play. 
4.    Demonstrate safe and respectful behavior.
5.    Describe the health benefits of pickleball as a recreational sport.
