This course provides students with the foundational knowledge of the theory of operation of centrifugal pumps, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

1. Explain the Theory of Operation of the inlet side of a centrifugal pump.
2. Demonstrate correct procedures calculating NPSHR and NPSHA.
3. Explain the correlation between Head and Pressure.
4. Install, align, and startup a centrifugal pump.
5. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble a centrifugal pump.
6. Calculate head curves based on given criteria.
7. Calculate friction loss in a piping system.
8. Define cavitation and pseudo-cavitation.
