Includes care and beautification of the nails, hands, legs, feet, and arms. Emphasis is on theory, proper use of instruments, equipment, personal hygiene, common nail conditions and diseases, basic nail techniques, and State Board rules and regulations affecting manicurists.

Prerequisites

COS 127 with a grade of “C” or higher or concurrent enrollment in COS 127.

Student Learning Outcomes
    1. Perform manicuring services at an advanced level.
    2. Describe characteristics of salon products.
    3. Describe anatomy and physiology concepts that relate to manicuring.
    4. Explain how to deal with nail and skin disorders.
    5. Perform client consultations.
