This program will provide the basic credentials and skills necessary to pursue a career as a welder in a variety of industrial fields.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate safe work habits that reflect concern and care for self, others, and the environment.
- Perform welding operations using appropriate processes on various metals and in various situations.
- Interpret blueprints and verbal orders, including welding symbols, to fabricate using tools of the welding trade.
- Perform quality welds and cuts using SMAW, GMAW, OFC, FCAW, and GTAW.
- Demonstrate safe and accurate operation of manual and CNC machine tools.
- Apply modern CAD/CAM software to generate programs and produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints and verbal orders to fabricate using tools of various manufacturing fields.
